Back in November, we told you about the arrival here in Phuket of former marine and UFC veteran Chad Reiner. At the time, we said that Chad would be training, conducting seminars and fighting whenever an appealing opportunity arises.
Well now such an opportunity has arisen and we are very pleased to announce that “The Grinder” Chad Reiner will be fighting on a high-quality card in the Pro Fighting Championship next month in Taiwan.
The event, which is being held on May 9 at the Taipei Gymnasium in Taiwan’s capital, will see Chad go up against Takenori Sato, with the winner set to become the first ever Pro FC welterweight champion.
Sato is a seasoned veteran with an MMA record of 17-10-7 and will undoubtedly pose quite a threat to our man Chad. However, Chad’s own record of 31-17 speaks for itself and highlights just how experienced the Fightlab man is in the ring.
In fact, during his career, Chad has faced a number of formidable opponents, including Anthony "Rumble" Johnson, Dan Hardy, TJ Grant, Dustin Hazelett & Chris Camozzi.
Let’s not take anything away from Sato though as he has previously battled with the likes of UFC superstar Erick Silva, Hyun Gyu Lim and long-time veteran Joe Doerkson.
To say it’s going to be an amazing event is an understatement and Pro FC are billing this card as their greatest ever to-date. With 24 world-class fighters coming together in 12 action-packed MMA fights, Taiwan’s premiere MMA organisation is really looking to draw attention and deliver an awesome spectacle.
